CAPSULE CHAIR

The chair is a part of the concept called "Capsule furniture" - furniture designed to correspond to extremely small spaces where any square feet is crucial and needs meaning. The chair is now standing inside the renovated capsule of the famous Nakagin Capsule Tower. The chair's look is inspired by the original design by Noboru Abe - Japanese interior designer responsible for the highly ergonomic capsule interior

The chair finds its beauty in the simplicity and elegance of simple lines. The seat is wide enough for the average person being able to change one's body position for long leisure, and 45-degree cuts help the user both to be confidently fit in the chair while feeling the freedom of movement. Cuts for holding the chair help to move the furniture around, while adding the feeling of lightness.

ROOFTOPS PENDANT LAMP

The lamp is inspired by height plastics of Tokyo urban surroundings. The lamp's design is a combination of rooftops, screened from the real urban landscape of Tokyo, making the lamp truly architectural, real and grounded on urban topography. Yet the lamp is controlled chaos, bounding the roofs into square or rectangle. Each roof is some Japanese house with a single light bulb attached, what gives a pleasant feeling of somebody being home. Differences in height allow the pattern of light to spread up and down, illuminating a room. Cables suspending the lamp are viewed as vertical smoke clouds rising from chimneys.

Changeability of the lamp's plastics depending on topography hides a great potential to view the urban landscape in miniature while enjoying the time "under rooftops".

SOFA

The sofa corresponds to the chair's design above while looking independently stylish. The prolong almost architectural span of more than 2 meters is supported by beams making, thanks to wood in use and several 90-degrees joints, the structure stable.

This is yet another ode to the original capsule design featuring the use of white-painted wood. Due to this and low suspended seats floating between two legs, the sofa silently infuses with surroundings.

COUCH

The couch looks solid, yet it presents one continuous surface folded in 3d space. Therefore, this contributes to the feeling of submerging inside the soft single piece of furniture. Angles of folding are both suitable for different functions, either for lonely relaxation or for participation in a casual talk.

CAPSULE

A piece of furniture called simply “a capsule” is a provision of temporary loneliness in our ultimate world of consumerism. It has its own light and speaker which is to be complemented by a user’s own smartphone to create a unique personal climate for a proclamation of personal identity.

ARMCHAIR

The minimalized armchair's shape is formed by a wooden board, folded in 3d space. Such appearance makes the armchair to look light and precisely cut, while the vertical edges starting confidently from the ground highlight the armchair's stylish monolith.

TABLE

A table usually put in the center of a premise is a center of action. In person to person communication, it is either a center of attention or a medium between. Taking this phenomenon into account the 'table' continue to fulfill this role of attracting people together. Having electric outlets together with usb and wireless charge pads inside itself, the table is a power source opposite to the outlets usually put inside walls or on the periphery. Yet the table is implicitly designed to be in connection to smartphones, as well as a kind of bound slavery to maintain a device charged. In this scenario, the table is a trade-off to put a smartphone aside to charge when it is still finely visible yet it does not interfere with the main action.
